Story

The Beachy Head marathon is said by some to be one of the hardest off road marathons in Europe, it is a painful 26.2 miles but that is nothing when compared to the journey Kath went through! Therefore I am doing it for the second time to raise money for St Wilfrids Hospice who looked after Kath so well in the last few weeks of her life. I aim to do 5 hours or less! Please support me and this worthy cause. Best wishes Noel ps The picture is Kath giving me a high 5 on the finish line in 2009

Beach Head Marathon update!

11th November 2018
Hi guys I have kept the site open for another couple of weeks and to push towards doubling my target to £2000, please pass it around again, and once again a huge thanks to everyone here in the UK and out across the waters for your generosity.

Beachy Head Marathon

7th November 2018
Its Done, 5.55 was my official time!! an hour longer than I intended!! but in fairness, I was running with a strain in the right calf, picked up two weeks before hand! and a dose of flu!! More physio to come and then back to basketball! The marathon gave me a great focus for five months and raised some much needed funds for the hospice. A huge thank you to everyone who supported me by donating and my target of £1000 was surpassed! and to those in "team Malone" who turned out on the day! Kath I am sure will approve! Thanks again, Noel x (picture to follow)

Training update - 31 days to go

26th September 2018
A huge thankyou to everyone who has supported me so far, it is very much appreciated and please keep putting it out there! Training is going well, this coming weekend 29/30 september, I am planning 22 miles! That will probably be my longest run, then start to ease down! A short trip to Ireland next week might change that, depending on how much Guinness goes down!!! Thanks again to all who help out while I am running, my Molly dog sitters are invaluable and very funny!

training update

28th August 2018
Now up to 16.4 miles 3.15 hours in wet and windy conditions on the course. Stepping it up over the next 6 weeks to around 22 miles! Thankyou to all who have donated so far and please keep sharing the link. Best wishes noel
